Age is determined as at 31 December 2015 for all age groups. Age groups for team events are determined by the youngest participant in the team.
Minimum age for competition is 30 years.
Number of Participant Requirements
Minimum number of participants required to conduct event/age groups: 4 participants/teams
All entered fencer to compete in pools. Separation of age category for direct eliminations. Require a minimum of 4 entrants to hold pools. If not enough participants to separate by age in the direct eliminations then medals awarded to highest ranking participant in age group regardless of overall placing.
All fencers are required to be affiliated with Fencing Australia.
Team members do not need to belong to the same state or club.
Placement of an individual in a team will be subject to positions being available and no guarantees can be made. If you have team positions available and you require assistance to fill these, please contact the sport convenor.

Head to the Games Village for the nightly entertainment program, including the Opening Ceremony (Saturday 3 October), Mid week party (Wednesday 7 October) and the Closing Ceremony (Saturday 10 October).
Fencing will hold a social function on Sunday evening, 4 October at 7:00pm at The Kings, 357 King William St, Adelaide. More information TBC.
