Channel 9 News caputured some footage of our participants in the 15th Australian Masters Games. Roger Churchwood, a 90 year old Melbourne grandfather, set his own cracking pace in sprints, competing against men decades his junior.
"I like the competition, even though it sounds a bit funny when there is no competition for me, but I like getting the medals", stated Roger.
Roger has won more Masters Games gold medals over the years than he can count, but the Games are not just about competition.
"It's a bit of a competition of course, but the friendship is more important" said participant Nick Bastis, another participant stating "we came from so many places, and we are all friends."
During half time of the AFL Grand Final screening at the Airbnb Games Village, a Flash Mob broke out to show the crowd their funky, fresh moves.
