Participation Fees

  • Games Entry Fee: $115 AUD per person Or $88.00 AUD per person for people aged 70+
  • Sport Entry Fee: $50.00 AUD per person for one day participation
                                 $80.00 AUD per person (unlimited canoe participation)
                                 GST exempt
  • Late Entry Fee: $27.50 AUD (for entries received after midnight on 7 August 2013)

Minimum Age Requirements

  • Minimum Age and Age Catergories are determined at 31 December 2013.
  • Minimum age for competition is 30 years.

 

Number of Participant Requirements

  • Minimum number of participants required to conduct competition: 75 in both sprint and marathon disciplines; 3 competitors are required to run each category.

FROM GEELONG RAILWAY STATION

From Railway Terrace turn right onto Gordon Avenue, Turn left onto La Trobe Terrace/A10, take the first right (Aberdeen Street) for 1.5 km then turn left onto Shannon Avenue for 1.7km (the road starts to descend stteply towards the river). Then turn left onto Balcombe Road and after 30m turn right onto Marnock Road. Estimated Journey Time 8 minutes.

FROM GEELONG RAILWAY STATION

From Geelong Railway Station catch Bus Number 34 for Buckley Falls. Alight at the first stop after the junction of Fyans Street and Shannon street. Balcombe Road is on the left as you face downhill. Turn left onto Balcombe Road and take the next right onto Marnock Road.

FROM GEELONG RAILWAY STATION

From Railway Terrace turn right onto Gordon Avenue, Turn left onto La Trobe Terrace/A10 for 1.8km then turn left onto Little Fyans Street,  take the first right (LaTrobe Boulevard) then first left onto Barwon Terrace. Estimated Journey Time 8 minutes.

FROM GEELONG RAILWAY STATION

From Geelong Railway Station take  bus number , 18, 19, 20 and alight at Barwon Terrace (just before the Barwon River Bridge), cross Moorabool Street and walk along Barwon Terrace.

All competitions will be run according to Australian Canoeing competition rules.

For marathon and sprint events, participants will nominate for a specific age group and will be restricted to events within that age group only, except where participating in a multi- person class.

Participants may only paddle in one age group per class. Age for a class is determined by the age of the youngest paddler. Each paddler must complete a separate Games Entry Form and Sport Entry Form.

Three entries constitute a class.

Canoeing Victoria reserve the right to decide which classes will be conducted.

Outrigger, surf skis and recreation class craft will be included in separate classes subject to demand. Amalgamation of these classes may be required to continue a class.
