Age Requirements

Age is determined as at 31 December 2017

Minimum age for competition is 45 years.

Participation Fees

Games Entry Fee: $99 per person or $88 per person for people aged 70+

(the above entry fees will increase to $126.50 and $115.50 respectively as at 12 August 2017)

Sport Entry Fee:

 $20.00 Per person members (Bocce Australia Affilated players)

 $40.00 Per person non members

Beach Bocce

Handicap Points System: This event is aimed at encouraging a mixture of skilled bocce players, from novice to elite. Handicap points are given to each team at the start of each game.

(The maximum handicap points allocated per team is 3 points, irrespective of the combination of women, men or novice players. One point is given for each woman in the team up to a maximum 3 points when playing against an all-male team).

Oz Bocce (Mixed Doubles) - Ideal for beginners

This event is Bocce played on the grass, with open Aussie-Bocce rules. This will suit recreational participants of the game. The rules are simple and the game played in the open. The bowls are coloured resin bocce bowls, which will be supplied by the Bocce Federation.


The beach competition will be conducted under the FIB Rules and Regulations.
