Event Information

Men:  Floor, Parallel Bars, Horizontal Bar, Vaulting, Rings*, Mini Tramp, Pommels (min 4 apparatus)

Women:  Floor, Uneven Bar, Beam, Vaulting, Mini Tramp (min 3 apparatus)

* Limited roof space – 1.5m clearance

There will be 2 divisions:

1) Open – beginner/general/recreational gymnasts, those who have previously competed in Gymnastics at L1-4, or their skill level is of this order, and

2) Masters – those who have previously competed in Gymnastics at L5+ or their skill level is potentionally of this order or greater.

This is predominately an Artistic Gymnastics Competition.  If athletes from other gymsports wish to participate, please contact the event organisers for a discussion regarding the possibility of participating as a demonstration apparatus/sport.

WAG 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (Subject to number of entrants)

Age Requirements

Age is determined as at 28 October 2017.

Minimum age for competition is 20 years.

Awards

WAG All Around Awards 1st, 2nd 3rd in each Age Group, in each division (Masters and Open)
MAG All Around Awards 1st, 2nd 3rd in each Age Group, in each division (Masters and Open)

There is no minimum number of events/appatarus an athlete must enter, however for AA Awards the sum of the top 4 events/apparatus will be used to determine the Men's AA Awards in each age group and 3 events for Women.

Participation Fees

Games Entry Fee: $99.00 per person or $88.00 per person for people aged 70+

(the above entry fees will increase to $126.50 and $115.50 respectively as at 12 August 2017)

Please note: a $9.00 service fee is payable per person at the time of submitting your registration. Further details available in the Games Entry Terms & Conditions.

Sport Entry Fee:

$45.00 per person; plus $10.00 per person for individuals not registered with Gymnastics Australia (for event personal accident insurance through Gymnastics Australia).

Number of Participant Requirements

Minimum number of participants required to conduct competition: 20 participants across all age categories and events.

Minimum number of participants required to conduct age groups/event: 3 participants

Any age group/event that does not have a minimum of 3 participants may be combined with another age group (at event organisers’ discretion).

Additional Information

Participants in the 20-29 age group must not have competed in Gymnastics competitions (other than veterans or masters) for 1 year prior to 28 October 2017.

The Organising Committee may consider moving an athlete across Masters and Open divisions (in consultation with the athlete) in the interests of creating a fairer competition for all.

Rules

The competition will be conducted as per standard Gymnastics Australia Competition Levels and according to the 16AMG Gymnastics Judging Criteria.
